Penfold Grange 07 750ml

According to Peter Gagao, Penfolds Chief Winemaker. The 2007 Grange is "Aromatically captivating/convincing—similar to the 1987 in its formative years, stronger than the 1997!”.

A three-way sourcing between the Barossa Valley, McLaren Vale and Magill Estate, this is a 98% shiraz, 2% cabernet sauvignon blend, matured in new American oak hogsheads for 21 months. There's deep-seated richness and ripeness here, with trademark American oak, some vanilla, licorice and a sense of real ripeness and strongly concentrated fruit.
